Shaun Kirk - New Zealand Tour 2025

TICKETS HERE: https://www.undertheradar.co.nz/gig/95248/Shaun-Kirk---New-Zealand-Tour-2025.utr

Hailing from the music-filled streets of Melbourne, Australia, Shaun Kirk is an award-winning blues and soul troubadour recognized for his exceptional talent as a born entertainer. His unique talent has not only earned him many accolades but also much praise from fellow artists, such as three-time Grammy Award Winner Fantastic Negrito, who has declared his show as One of the best one-man shows he’s ever seen!

Kirk's vocals exude a gritty, soulful depth that seems to transcend far beyond his years, with critics continually acclaiming him as one of the finest blues voices Australia has ever heard (Buzz Mag). Complementing his vocal artistry, Kirk's vintage guitar tones and raw grooves pay tribute to the timeless influences that have shaped his musical journey, resulting in a distinctive sound fast becoming his own.

Shaun’s musical journey has taken him to stages all over the world, where he's not only performed but consistently sold out shows, leaving audiences enthralled by his magnetic presence. From iconic festival stages like Bluesfest Byron Bay, where he's become a familiar name, to sharing the billing with legends like Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, John Mayer, Paolo Nutini, John Butler Trio, and The Teskey Brothers; Kirk's artistic prowess is in esteemed company. Moreover, he's also had the honour of opening for household names such as blues maestro Joe Bonamassa, soul sensation Allen Stone, and the indomitable Beth Hart; further solidifying his place in the landscape of contemporary music. This remarkable journey is a testament to Kirk's unmatched talent and ability to connect with audiences across genres and generations.

WHAT THE PRESS ARE SAYING ABOUT SHAUN KIRK...

“It’s rare to see someone bring down the house as an opener, but Australia’s Shaun Kirk did exactly that. He connected with the crowd immediately”
– Soundcheck Entertainment, Canada

“One of the most explosive acts Australia has to offer”
– Mixdown Magazine

“Simply astounding. Definitely a must for any blues lover.”
Tsunami/Forte Magazine

My faith in this generation’s music has been restored.

The Artbeat Festival presents:
The Nukes – A Road Trip in Song.
Join ukulele group, The Nukes, for a road trip like no other – a song-journey from Rakiura to Cape Reinga, woven together with harmony and laughter. Celebrating over 15 years together the Nukes have built a reputation built upon finely crafted original tunes, comic flair and great musicianship, all of which have made them one of New Zealand’s most endearing, and enduring live acts – and their newest show is set to be a crowd-pleaser.
This special performance blends The Nukes signature songwriting with a fresh twist – the inclusion of war-era classics that showcase the group’s warm four-part vocal harmonies. At the heart of it all is the humble ukulele, transformed in their hands into a truly musical and expressive instrument. Expect toe-tapping tunes, classic ballads, and moments of musical magic as The Nukes take you on a tour of Aotearoa – one story and one song at a time.
This all-ages show once again reunites original members Snapper, Ben, and Dave, and also features Dave’s son Josh (JayP) in the line-up.
Visit: www.thenukes.co.nz for more info and booking

Threat Meet Protocol, Illicit Wah-Wahz, King Fish & Corrosive Moses - 4 Bands, $20 at the door.

Just like Jesus, this gig has risen from the dead. After being banned from playing the Piha Bowls Club for being "too dangerous" the Monkey House on behalf of Whitianga are taking their lives and reputations into their own hands by allowing King Fish, Illicit Wah Wahz, Corrosive Moses and Threat.Meet.Protocol play their esteemed venue. this Easter Saturday.

Featuring:

Illicit Wah Wahz:

Marauding the main street of Raglan like savage dogs these deranged surf occultists will cover you in sickening fuzz and wah pedal feedback and not even say sorry. They will also look you in the eye as they shake hands and squeeze just a little harder than usual. Sick bastards.

https://illicitwahwahz.bandcamp.com/.../live-at-speed-of...

King Fish:

Everyone knows what goes on in the hills of Tairua. Socially reclusive loners hiding away doing nothing but smoking that filthy green plant and writing stoner doom jams. Keep these sociopaths away from your kids!

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD9k3a9iHAowZHVKdso-8Bg

Threat.Meet.Protocol:

Tauranga tough guys, the only emotion they know how to express is with their fists. Best known for inserting themselves into a Chuck Norris joke and beating him up. Beware!

https://www.youtube.com/@threat.meet.protocol

Corrosive Moses:

Whitianga's most topically blasphemous band. Infamous locally for their part in releasing printed propaganda to influence and bend the minds of all those they encounter. Dangerous! Despotic! Dictatorial!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDchwYzXpxI&ntb=1...

CLEAN DiRT presents GUITAR WOLF from Tokyo Japan

Tokyo masters of rock&roll mayhem. 30 years young & the foot ain’t ever come off that car crash accelerator pedal. Still swerving, dead man curving, burnin’ out & danger driftin’. Link Wray overdriven guitar rumble fuzz & feedback, Joan Jett warm leatherette aesthetic obsession, locomotive rockabilly rhythms & early Ramones punk chunk thump. Noise, hiss & drone co-opted from fellow Japanese sound assault merchants High Rise & Mainliner. It’s a sonic rendezvous designed to cave in heads & destroy frequencies, while yr dancing yr ass off on that road to oblivion…. Mr Slackjaw

GUITAR WOLF,
JAPAN'S GREATEST
'JET ROCK'N'ROLL' BAND,
