Andy Dickson - frontman/guitarist with Kiwi legends The Narcs - will head 'across the ditch' from Brisbane in July to entertain North Island crowds with some of his favourite Australian and New Zealand songs, from bands he is influenced by or has a personal connection with.
Get ready to sing along with Andy Dickson to songs which have become the soundtrack of our lives, from artists like INXS, Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, Cold Chisel, DD Smash, Dance Exponents and many more.
Dickson fronted The Narcs' Top 5 NZ 80's hit 'Heart & Soul' - a staple on New Zealand radio and which continues on the playlists of classic hits radio.
At the NZ Music Awards, Dickson was Male Vocalist finalist, and with The Narcs won 'Most Popular Song Of The Year' by public vote at the 1984 RIANZ Awards for 'Heart & Soul'.
He was a member of Australian mystery group Ghostwriters in the early 90's along with the late great Rob Hirst of Midnight Oil, and Hoodoo Gurus bassist Rick Grossman. He has also toured as guitarist for country music star Shanley Del.

TEST (Brazil) NZ Tour, with Charlies Vendetta & Corrosive Moses
$20 TICKETS HERE: https://www.undertheradar.co.nz/gig/102052/TEST-Brazil-NZ-Tour.utr with local openers CHARLIES VENDETTA & CORROSIVE MOSES
Couldn’t be more thrilled to present legendary DIY grindcore band TEST touring throughout the North Island of New Zealand for the first time this June.
For the uninitiated, TEST is a Brazilian duo formed in 2010 by João Kombi (guitar and vocals) and Barata (drums), two veterans of São Paulo’s underground scene. Known for their intense live performances, notable collaborations with artists like Iggor Cavalera and Deafkids, and a fearless musical approach, the band has established itself as one of the most inventive names in the Brazilian alternative scene.
From the deathgrind band initially known for playing outside of major heavy metal concerts, fueled by a old school VW van-powered generator, Test has gone a long way since 2011, when the band started playing on the streets. Since then, the band has shared stages - inside the venue this time, be it as opening band or headlining - with artists such as Mr Bungle, King Diamond, Napalm Death, Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, Exodus e Brujeria, Mayhem, Mortician, Dillinger Escape Plan, to name a few. Speaking of name-dropping, some famous Test fans include Shane Embury, Napalm Death’s bass player, and the brothers Max and Iggor Cavalera - Iggor, by the way, has chosen Test’s drummer on the top 10 drummers of all time.
Aside from performing with well-know heavy metal artists, Test also took part in two of the major extreme music festivals worldwide: “Obscene Extreme”, in the Czech Republic and Mexico, and “Maryland Deathfest”, in the US. With a steady recording and playing live pace, Test turns sixteen years old with 19 albums (full-lenghts, EPs and split-album with bands from different parts of the world, like Nepal [Chepang], U.S.A. [Cloud Rat, Ixias] and China [Struggle Session]), two feature films, more than ten thousand records sold and more than one thousand shows in all states of Brazil, as well as twenty one foreign tours (Asia, Europe, North America and South America).
Destroying a town near you - June 2026.

“It was a fantastic excuse to drift through smaller communities and meet the local folk and to immerse myself in the awesomeness of the South Island,” he said “There are cool people everywhere and gigs like these seemed to serve as some sort of rallying point. I had a great time.”

On March 20, The Monkey House welcomes Kevin Le Pennec — a truly spellbinding French harpist and singer-songwriter whose music sits somewhere between folk reverie and cinematic dreamscape. Blending classical harp with soulful vocals and poetic storytelling, Kevin creates intimate, transportive performances that feel both traditional and refreshingly new, including pop & jazz influences.
Kevin Le Pennec won the first prizes and the public prize at the World Harp Competition in April 2024 and the Camac Trophy in August 2019.
Supported by local duo, Saltwood, who bring contemporary, traditional and original songs & tunes for guitar and harp.
Kevin’s live shows are immersive & magical, so come and support this internationally acclaimed performer. Limited seats, so don’t delay in securing your spot.
